Rakul Preet Singh was born on October 10, 1990, in New Delhi, India to Rajender Singh is an Army Officer and Kulwinder Singh.
She has a brother named Amarjee. Rakul did her schooling from Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan and later received Honors’ Degree in Mathematics from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi.
She has been an active golf player and played in national levels.
Rakul Preet Singh Career:
Rakul Preet Singh started her career as a model while she was in college and did several commercial advertisements. She made her film debut with Kannada movie ‘Gilli’ directed by Raghav Loki in 2009.
In the film, Rakul played the lead role as Arati opposite of Gururaj Jaggesh and her performance was well received by the audience.
In 2011, Rakul participated in the ‘Femina Miss India Pageant’ where she was placed fifth and won five pageant titles including ‘Miss India People’s Choice’.
That year, she entered into Telugu film with ‘Keratam’ as Sangeetha. Next year, Rakul kicked off her journey in Tamil film industry with ‘Thadaiyara Thaakka’ in which she acted as Gayathri Ramakrishnan against Arun Vijay.
Rakul Preet Singh starred in Bollywood film with director Divya Khosla Kumar’s romantic adventure movie ‘Yaariya’ in 2014. She played the lead role with Himansh Kohli and Nicole Faria.
Her commercial successful movies are ‘Current Theega’ in 2014, ‘Kick’ in 2015 and ‘Nannaku Prematho’ in 2016. Recently, Rakul is filming five Telugu movies, a Hindi and a Tamil movie which will release in early part of 2017.
